LCA Announces Mrs. Lea Clark as New 6th-8th Grade Principal
LCA is delighted to announce that Mrs. Lea Clark has been appointed as the new 6th - 8th Grade Principal. Mrs. Clark has been a cherished member of the LCA family for 25 years, serving as a parent, teacher, and administrator. Her journey at LCA began 18 years ago when she joined as a 6th-grade science and history teacher at the Immanuel Baptist Church Campus. She later transitioned to teaching 8th-grade science in the junior high program before stepping into the role of Assistant Principal in 2021. Read More Here
Alumni Spotlight - Thomas Stout
LCA alum Thomas Stout ('17) returned to campus as a special guest during our High School Veterans Day Chapel last week. He's currently serving as a Black Hawk pilot in the Kentucky National Guard and credits LCA for building his character and faith that guided him on this path. Read more here.
LCA Announces Coleman Marshall as New Director of Admissions
LCA is pleased to announce the hiring of Coleman Marshall as Lexington Christian Academy's new Director of Admissions, effective January 13, 2025. Alumni Spotlight - Ella Keene
LCA alum Ella Keene ('24) has spent the past few weeks in Costa Rica as part of a mission trip with Experience Mission. The journey began in August when she joined other graduates from across the country in Seattle to prepare and train for the mission. The team traveled to San Jose and is currently in Shiroles, a village in Costa Rica. Read more here.
Ella Deaton, LCA 8th Grade Softball Player, Involved in Walk To End Alzheimer's
Ella Deaton, an LCA 8th grader and member of the LCA Softball team, is known not only for her skills on the softball field but also for her dedication to causes close to her heart. This year, Deaton’s involvement in the annual Lexington Alzheimer’s Walk, held on October 20, 2024, at the Kentucky Horse Park, took on a new and deeply personal meaning. She recently lost her great-grandmother to Alzheimer’s, a loss that has strengthened her commitment to raising awareness and funds to help end the disease. Read Article Here
Nathan Scalf, LCA Junior, to Fly Research in Microgravity
Last July, Nathan participated in the nationally competitive NASA STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) summer internship program, where he had the unique opportunity to work alongside NASA experts on critical earth and space research missions. As part of the internship, students submitted research proposals for a chance to fly their experiments in a microgravity environment. We are thrilled that Nathan was one of four students selected to fly their project, titled Wound Irrigation for Microgravity Environments. Read More Here

Alumni Spotlight - Amanda Gault
Amanda Gault attended LCA for 13 years and graduated in 2019. She then studied at the University of the Cumberlands where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts, and most recently, her MBA. Amanda currently serves as the Young Alumni and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at University of the Cumberlands. Read more here.
Alumni Spotlight - Wes Strunk
Wes Strunk attended LCA for 12 years and graduated in 2009. He fondly recalls his time at LCA, highlighting the supportive community and lifelong friendships formed through soccer and other activities. Wes earned degrees in civil engineering and business from the University of Kentucky before embarking on a successful career in engineering consulting. Wes married fellow LCA alum Alison Braun ('11) in 2015. Read more here.
